Guerlain Maxi Lashes in a Snap Review

Hi ladies! Happy Thursday! Today I will be reviewing the Maxi Lash from Guerlain that I received in one of my Sephora online orders as a sample. It retails for $30 at Sephora, and the claims are that it’s a volume-creating and curl-sculpting mascara. If $30 is out of your price range, stay tuned for the dupe at the end of this post!

Why it’s great
Lashes are extremely black
No weird scent
Holds curl
Lashes look long and voluminous
Mascara wand glides through your lashes
Long wearing
Why it’s not so great
Mascara wand has way to much product on it
Tends to make lashes look clumpy if you don’t brush them out
Throughout the day I noticed some of it flaked under my eyes

I love the high end feel of this mascara, but honestly it’s not amazing enough for me to spend $30 on it. Whether you’re on a budget or you just love drugstore makeup, Maybelline’s falsies mascara does the same thing and I think it’s ten times better. I use the one called falsies flare. It holds my curl, my lashes look thick and black, and the curved wand allows me to flare my outer lashes for a cat eyed look. And best of all, it doesn’t clump or leave my lashes feeling stiff and hard. You can find it in any drugstore for $6-$7 in a purple tube! It comes in other wand shapes to suit your needs, most of the time they have pictures next to the mascara so you can see what it looks like and what it’s supposed to do.

Would I pay $30 for this mascara? Personally I wouldn’t. However, if you don’t have freakishly long lashes like I do then you might want to give this a try. I am in no way saying this a horrible product, I just have different preferences when it comes to my mascara. Some people may like more natural looking lashes and others may not which is completely fine Anyway I hope you’re all having a wonderful day!
